How does floor insulation work?
Floors can be insulated by lifting the floorboards and inserting insulating material in the space between the joists. The floorboards are then put back on top of the now insulated frame.
Floor insulation can also prevent drafts from coming through floorboards which can create an uncomfortable living space above.
