DESNZ Visits Next Energy

Recently, we were honoured to be invited to speak in front of the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) regarding our business journey thus far, the work we have already delivered, and some of the ongoing projects we are all excited to be working on.

About the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero

With a focus on securing the country’s long-term energy supply, reaching Net Zero, and bringing down bills, DESNZ has a core set of priorities including ensuring that the UK remains on track to meeting the commitments that have already been made to achieving Net Zero.

Another priority is to ensure that support schemes are delivered and that the right long-term changes are made to improve the ways in which the energy market works for families, communities, and businesses.

DESNZ and Next Energy

Our DESNZ visit began in Mann Island with Anthony Daly kicking off proceedings with a brilliant presentation touching on the work that we are so passionate about delivering. Following an incredibly interesting discussion, DESNZ accompanied us to the Murdishaw area to visit two of the properties where we have completed Solar PV work on.

We know that our Solar PV systems are helping people in the local area to save money on their energy bills, so this was a perfect opportunity to show DESNZ some of our amazing customers’ homes and highlight the positive outcomes we are continuing to deliver to people in the Runcorn area.

Moving Forwards

With one eye firmly on the future at all times, we are always looking for ways to support people in our local communities and deliver meaningful solutions with the ability to both ease some of the pressures of day-to-day life and contribute to a cleaner, greener planet.

We look forward to continuing to work closely with the UK government and specifically the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero to ensure that more communities have the opportunity to benefit from greener sources of energy. After all, we’ve seen firsthand the range of benefits that making the switch to greener energy sources can offer, so we want to make sure that green solutions are available to all.
