Knowsley, as we all know, is a wonderful place to live and work. We are part of a thriving business community that works together to deliver the best possible outcomes for local residents. We are committed to our community and always aim to deliver safe and sustainable solutions for our customers, a great working environment for our staff, and opportunities for our young people.

We believe that it is vitally important to keep Knowsley in the headlines, and it is for this reason that we entered the 2023 Knowsley Business Awards and are delighted to have been nominated for awards in two categories: Contractor of the Year and Corporate Social Responsibility.

The event ceremony will be held on Thursday 23rd November 2023, and we are very excited to attend, alongside other local businesses that are also making a valuable contribution to the local community and the wider economy.

Corporate Social Responsibility Award (CSR)

Qualifying for the Corporate Social Responsibility Award required that we present evidence of the positive impact that we have had on our local area. We are deeply committed to our social values, are regular contributors to local charities, and make a concentrated effort to visit schools in our area, offering young people an insight into the work that we do and the opportunities that are available to them in the future.

We are delighted that our efforts have been recognised and rewarded in this way, and we look forward to meeting other businesses who have also made incredible social connections within the area, to enjoy an evening of mutual learning and, hopefully, to lift the award for social responsibility.

Whether or not we win, we will continue to do what we do best – deliver outstanding value for local residents in our community, supporting homeowners and private tenants to receive the energy efficiency upgrades to which they are entitled, creating a culture of trust and understanding and reducing fuel poverty in our local area.

We will also continue to offer apprenticeships and meaningful employment opportunities to local residents, ensuring that our future and that of our country is secured with the provision of renewable energy sources that will protect our planet and our economy for years to come.

Contractor of the Year Award

The criteria for this award were based upon the demonstration of excellent performance on the delivery of projects in the Knowsley area. Our evidence was assessed upon its contribution to the Knowsley economy, the quality of workmanship, and the processes that we implemented to deliver an assured end project.

We were delighted to have the opportunity to showcase the excellent work performed by our skilled and enthusiastic team, the incredible way in which our collaborations with local government departments and other businesses allow us to build an effective and resilient supply chain and the statistics which prove that our projects finish on time and to budget.

We take great pride in our ability to hire and upskill the highest quality talent from our local area, nurturing their areas of interest and providing them with opportunities to develop their skills and experience in order to deliver the best of themselves, every day, and to enjoy doing so. Our team is passionate about the work that we do, and success in this category at the Knowsley Business Awards will be the icing on the cake for our team.

Thanks and future plans

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Knowsley Business Awards for considering our applications and for nominating us in these two categories. We are very excited to attend the award ceremony and regardless of the outcome, will use this event as a learning opportunity whilst continuing to improve the service that we offer to our customers, to engage with and support events and charitable causes in our local area and to give back to the people that helped us to achieve the success that we enjoy.

This winter looks to be a busy time for us, with the introduction of the new Great British Insulation Scheme, which will run alongside and complement the ECO4 scheme for which we are already delivering immense benefits to homeowners and private tenants in our local area.
