Recently, we had the great honour to attend the Employer’s Excellence Awards 2024 in Liverpool, and we are delighted to announce that we came away with not one but two awards!
What is the Employer’s Excellence Awards?
Established to celebrate the best employers in Britain, the Employer’s Excellence Awards aims to shine a light on innovative businesses and the teams behind the UK’s most successful companies and was hosted by Vernon Kay.
The Judging Panel
The 2024 judging panel featured:
- Deborah Arthurs, editor of Metro.co.uk
- Baroness Helen Newlove, member of the House of Lords and campaigner
- Bill Esterton, Member of Parliament for Sefton
- Mohammed Malique, co-founder of Lycamobile and Group Leader for MobileX
- John Hannett, trade unionist and new member of the House of Lords
- Peter Johnson-Treherne, chartered accountant and prominent figure at Heritage Great Britain
What Did We Win?
We are so proud to share that Next Energy won the awards for:
- Outstanding Commitment to the Environment – celebrates businesses who are demonstrating a genuine dedication to ensuring our planet is protected for future generations.
- Small Employer of the Year – celebrates businesses with fewer than 250 employees who are going above and beyond to secure success in their sector by promoting diversity in the workplace and giving back to the community
