We are delighted to announce that Next Energy has entered into a brand new partnership arrangement with Birmingham City Council.
Following a really thorough selection process, we have been awarded with a position as one of Birmingham City Council’s preferred ECO and GBIS delivery partners. There were a number of key points that drove the formation of this partnership, including our proven track record of working with Local Authorities and Combined Regional Authorities to successfully delivering a number of similar projects in different areas of the country.
What Does This Partnership Mean?
Birmingham City Council has an ambitious plan in place to provide a variety of energy efficiency measures to around 3,000 eligible households across Birmingham each year.
Through our partnership with the Council, we will play a key role in tackling a number of pressing issues facing households today, with a particular focus on addressing fuel poverty by making properties more energy-efficient adopting a combination of fabric first and renewable solutions. The programme is designed to reduce the fuel bills for thousands of households across the city of Birmingham by installing everything from efficient heating systems to solar panels, insulation improvements, and better ventilation.
Our efforts, with those of other delivery partners involved in this ambitious scheme, will also contribute to the provision of healthier living conditions, as properties will be drier and warmer, which will alleviate some of the serious impacts on health that mould and dampness can have.
