We believe that schools deserve the financial support that they need to achieve their goals and aspirations, to relieve the burden on cash-strapped families and to allow students to achieve their full potential. We also believe that sometimes the gift of time and experience is more valuable than that of money, so we always offer a two-pronged approach to the schools that we support.

We offer financial donations to support the schools to provide for the children in their care, and we offer our time to discuss our work and to inspire young minds.

Roby Park Careers Day

We have a meaningful personal connection to Roby Park Primary School, so we were delighted to be invited to speak at their recent Year 5 Careers Day. We really enjoyed spending time with the students, sharing insights about our work and company mission, as well as providing information about the exciting career opportunities that exist within the renewable energy sector.

We hosted several informative and interactive sessions that were specifically tailored to the students’ age group, explaining complex concepts in a fun and engaging way and encouraging participation. The students really enjoyed learning about renewable energy sources, including solar, hydro, wind and biomass and asked many pertinent questions about these technologies and their impact on the planet.

Careers in Renewable Energy

Part of our remit was to enlighten the children as to the breadth of careers that are available within the renewables sector. We didn’t want them to think that only engineers are involved in energy, so we made a point of highlighting the various ways in which their particular skills and interests could be applied to a career within the sector.

We showcased a range of roles, including in research and development, the role of project managers and even discussed the way in which environmental specialists can support the sector by advising policy-makers and helping other industry sectors to reduce their carbon footprint.

We emphasised the importance of a good education, coupled with pursuing their own particular interests in order to drive innovation, foster creativity, and create a cleaner, greener planet for all to enjoy. We discussed the challenges that we are currently facing, including the ways in which climate change is affecting our planet and why it is important to transition to cleaner energy solutions.

Educational Outreach

We were very impressed with the level of interest displayed by the students at Roby Park Primary School. Their teachers have certainly prepared them well, and it was an absolute pleasure to speak with such a curious, enthusiastic and insightful audience.

We were absolutely delighted to have received such a positive response from the students, teachers and school administrators, and to see our company name in the Knowsley News was the icing on the cake. We have long believed in the benefits of educational outreach and hope that the continued support of the local community will allow this to continue for decades to come.

As always, our team thoroughly enjoyed their day spent with Roby Park Primary School. We continue to be impressed with the dedication of the teaching and administration staff, the enthusiasm of the students and the way in which the local community celebrates events such as this.
